Tips on how to retrieve music files and video files easily

Media files basically consist of three different types of files namely photos, which are still images captured using a digital camera, music files which is an audio file played out at a particular frequency and video which is a combination of both photo and video to produce a moving picture which gives us a real feeling of what actually happened. Many of us prefer to capture video as compared to photos, as it is more realistic in nature. Many devices like digital cameras, digital camcorders and even mobile phones have video capture and playback facility which makes it easier to capture and save videos.

Music files are usually stored on mp3 players or mobile phones or any other device which makes use of a memory card. These two types of media files come in different file formats like for example videos come in MPEG, MP4, AVI and various other formats while music files generally have file formats like MP3, WAV etc. As both type of files are usually stored on a memory card, these files can get deleted or lost from the memory card due to various reasons.

Accidental deletion is one of the main reasons for loss of media files. In this case, the user usually deletes the media file accidentally resulting in the files becoming inaccessible. However, it is possible to retrieve music files and video files deleted in this manner as a good data recovery software can scan the entire storage device and recover the data. Another common scenario in which media files could get deleted is due to accidental formatting of the memory card. Again like deletion, formatting removes the file entry but not the entire file. It is therefore possible to recover video files and music files provided no new data has overwritten the deleted data.
